Nellie in the Know – March 22, 2024
Happy Spring Break and Happy Easter Friends and Family of Nellie,
Thank you all for an amazing week at Nellie. Certainly the highlights of the week were our Student-Led Conferences and down-hill skiing. Thank you to all of the students, staff and volunteers who made these so successful.
Last night parents were treated to a learning experience shaped and facilitated by their child…it is so wonderful to see how talented and proud our students are. A great big thank you to students, staff and families for engaging in this process and modeling for our students that learning is important, valued and a shared experience.
Last night our staff were treated to an amazing pot luck dinner from our Nellie Families. Your generosity, care and culinary expertise is so appreciated. The Nellie staff and I feel so appreciated! Thank you so much for your incredible gift.
Yes there is snow outside and we are all wishing for a warm and sunny spring break. Make the most of the time you have together with friends and family. Go outside, play in the snow, go for a toboggan ride or go skiing. The memories you make with family and friends can be made on the sandy beaches or sitting in the snow. Eat lots of turkey, laugh lots with others, play lots outdoors and enjoy your time together.
Remember that our first day back is Tuesday April 2nd.

Get your dancing shoes ready, as Nellie is having a family dance on Thursday, April 18th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.! All are welcome.
DJ Connor will be spinning and making sure the dance floor is rocking! Games will be played and prizes will be handed out for best costumes as well! You don't want to miss it.
All the funds raised during the dance will be used to purchase outdoor picnic tables for the school!
