Happy Friday Citizens of Nellie! WEEK IN REVIEW - Our Story-telling residency with Jeff Stockton kicked off yesterday. Jeff is an award winning storyteller & harpist. He is also an author and illustrator who has released four illustrated books. Storytelling is a celebration of life. It is the oldest of the arts; it awakens and nourishes both the imagination and the creative spirit. Each class had a performance from Jeff as the magic of story was woven upon the strings of the Celtic harp - with brilliant timing and strong rapport with the listeners. His repertoire is extensive, replete with hundreds of myths, legends and folk tales from around the world. His listeners were spellbound! We can't wait to learn from him when each class has a daily workshop with him next week! See some video footage of his performances on NellieSparks
