WEEK IN REVIEW

NEWS ITEMS:

  • Parent-Teacher Conference bookings open today at 4:00pm. 
    Parents are invited to book a fifteen-minute interview time with your child's teacher as part of our Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences.  This is an important time to connect with teachers about your child’s progress. (Only two Report cards go home, in January and in June). Parent- Teacher Conferences take place on:
         -Thursday, Nov. 27 from 4:00pm-8:00pm
        - Friday, Nov. 28 from 8:30am-12:30pm
    ALL CONFERENCES MUST BE BOOKED ON-LINE THROUGH YOUR "MY CBE ACCOUNT":
    All parents/guardians who have not already done so, will need to create a new account to access PowerSchool to book a conference:
    Families will need to go to www.cbe.ab.ca/myCBE to create an account. Families will need to know the email on file at their child’s school, as well as their child’s CBE Student ID number and birthdate. Support documents to assist families have been posted at www.cbe.ab.ca/support. This includes how to create an accounthow to add additional students to your account, and frequently asked questions (Google translator is available on this website.)
  • Fall Conference Pot Luck: Feed our Teachers- For all that they do for our kids every day, School Council would like to provide a warm homemade meal for our teachers before Parent- Teacher Conferences on Thursday November 27, 2025 . Please consider sending in a salad, entree or dessert for the event or helping with set up or clean up for amazing staff.
    Please drop off dishes and items at the staff room any time between 8:30am to 3:30pm am on Thurs. Nov. 27, 2025.*Important* - Please provide ingredients with all dishes as some staff members have allergies   Pot Luck dinner sign-up

SCHOOL COUNCIL 

  • School Council is excited to present our first 50/50 Raffle in support of the new playground Campaign!!!!
    The winner will be drawn at the Holiday Concert in December. Get your tickets for your chance to win some extra cash before the holidays! Buy your 50/50 raffle ticket here!   Thank you for your continued support!
  • Next School Council meeting: Thurs. Jan. 22. Everyone welcome!  Receive updates from the Principal, hear about School Council plans for School dances, fundraisers, Fun Lunches and provide your input. No need to take on a role. We are a friendly and relaxed group, committed to supporting our kids - please join us to see what we are involved in! 
  • Do we have your contact info-Our School Council works hard to plan and coordinate many exciting events and activities for our school community throughout the year. If you would like to be contacted by the School Council about events and ways to get involved/volunteer, but missed the sign-up sheet at Meet-the-Teacher Night, it's not too late to be added to the contact list. Please follow this link to share your email address with our School Council and give your consent to be contacted.

VOLUNTEERS 

  • We have some exciting field trips and volunteer opportunities coming up this year! If you would like to volunteer with your child's class, please ensure:

·       You have a current, valid police information clearance including vulnerable sector search

·       Your name is current in our CBE Security Clearance database.

·       You have filled out the Annual Volunteer Registratio​n Form for the 2025-2026 school year.
