Happy Friday Citizens of Nellie!
WEEK IN REVIEW - Returning to school this Wednesday and being greeted by sidewalk chalk messages, and waves of red clothing was heartwarming. We are so happy to see the children again. Thank you to the families who welcomed teachers back with Crave cupcakes and candy treats for the staff room, and thank you to School Council for the big boxes of coffee pods to fuel us- it was all so very much appreciated.
- Nellie's Family Halloween Dance took place Thursday evening. A big shout out to our School Council for ensuring this would take place regardless of earlier labour action. Prizes, pizza, costumes and an awesome DJ made the night a hit.
- Students were invited to wear their Halloween outfits for school on Friday and we had a parade to allow all students to see each others costumes. See photos and reels of the dance and the parade on Nellie McClung Community

Families will receive a gift card to purchase groceries and gifts for each family member. November 6 is the deadline to submit applications. Last year we helped over 60 people and 17 Nellie Families.
