My friends and I built 8 snowmen in the school field. One day a chinook wind melted some of them and there were only 16 left. How many snowmen melted?

Jamie and their friends slid down the hill a total of 356 times. Wendy and her friends slid down the hill a total of 498 times. What is the total amount of times both groups slid down the hill?

Santas workshop has 7 floors. If there are 35 room on each floor how many rooms are there altogether?

Calgary is preparing for their annual winter festival. They plan to decorate a park with 182 strings of lights and each string of lights has 33 bulbs. It is expected to take 35 hours to decorate over the course of the week. How many lights are there in all and how many hours will it take and how many lights will be hung each hour?

 

Grade 6

Mr. Dyck is looking after the community skating rink this winter. He floods the rink every Thursday night with a hose that pumps 73 litres per minute. This past Thursday, Mr. Dyck spent 90 minutes flooding the rink. How many litres of water did Mr. Dyck put on the outdoor rink?
