Nellie in the Know Nov. 8 | Lost & Found, Conferences, Fun Lunches, Fundraisers,

Hello Citizens of Nellie,

We had a very moving week at Nellie that crested with a very thoughtful and emotional Remembrance Day Service this morning.  A big thank you to our MCs, Sophia and Olivia, Ms. Dennison, Daniel Dennison, all students who presented and all staff who helped created this powerful service. You did a remarkable job of creating such an authentic service. It was also wonderful to see how many family members were able to join us as we stopped to remember this important day.

It is now time to enjoy our first ever School Fall Break. See you all back Wed. November 15.

Darren Dyck, Principal

Snacks

Snacks are always needed at school.  If you are able to bring in granola bars, fish crackers, cheese strings or fresh fruit to help those students who do not bring snacks or lunches it would be greatly appreciated.

Giving Tree

As a community, in December, we provide gifts, food and help that is needed. If you and your family are in needplease email me at dkdyck@cbe.ab.ca and we will “adopt” your family this December. If you are interested in helping please watch for emails from School Council on what is needed. A sign-up genius will be sent out once we know what our families need. Recipients will be anonymous. We only have 6 families who have put their names forward so if you know of anyone who is in need please direct them to the Nellie In The Know.

If your family is in need please complete this document, email it to me, bring it into the school or come into the school and complete one here. Our PAC is ready to mobilize and wants to get an early jump on gift purchasing. See form under Resources.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is bursting at the seams.  All items will be displayed during Parent Teacher Conferences on November 23rd and 24th.  Items remaining will be donated on November 25.
