Nellie in the Know Sept. 1
Hello Citizens of Nellie,
The Muffin Mixer yesterday was a great way to start off another amazing year at Nellie. A great big thank you to all of the parents who helped make this event such a fantastic success. Nellie is such a wonderful learning community and we are thrilled to see all of our families back and we welcome all of our new families as well. Nellie strives to be the best school by building connections, providing space and place for all voices and working together to provide challenging learning experiences for our students. “Sparking Creativity / Growing Together” is our school motto. We know that this year will be another opportunity for us to live up to this motto and help all students reach their potential. Yesterday I challenged our students to make this year their very best school year ever. By working hard, playing hard and building up those around us we will ensure that we have a memorable, connected and engaging learning experience. Have a wonderful weekend.

Allergies
Nellie is a nut aware school, which means that as a school we avoid bringing nuts into school. We have a number of students in all grades who have allergies to many different things so we need to be aware of how to be safe. Students are not supposed to share food with their classmates. If a student has a severe allergy in your class teachers will email parents to inform them of what to avoid bringing to school.
