Nellie in the Know Sept. 28
Hello Citizens of Nellie,
We had a fantastic week at Nellie. Indigenous artist and speaker Elizabeth Buller Page led students and staff to a better understanding of our history and our connectedness to Indigenous People. Through her art and her stories she described the impact of residential schools on her family and showed us that through knowledge comes truth, reconciliation and hope for a better future. Thank you Liz
Our Nellie Athletes led by example yesterday afternoon as they demonstrated their skills in Cross Country running. A huge thank you to all students, staff and families who helped make our run a great success.
Nellie students wow us everyday. They are hard working, compassionate and thoughtful children who really care for each other and the world they live in. Thank you Nellie Students for being so Awesome!!!
Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Apple Fundraiser
We are very pleased to announce that this year we will be running an exciting new fall fundraiser. We have partnered up with a distinguished Okanagan orchard to sell their delicious farm-fresh apples. These are not just the ordinary apples we are used to getting in our grocery stores. This century-old family farm has won all kinds of major awards for their fruit. They won the prize for growing the best apples in Canada for eight straight years. These are the highest quality apples available anywhere. And because we’re sourcing them directly from the farm, you get to buy them at below grocery store prices. You’ll get the best apples you’ve ever eaten… and save some money.
Plus, with each box sold Nellie McClung will raise $8-10 to go towards new gym equipment for our kids!
*Also, we ask that you please consider sharing this fundraiser sale with your nearby friends and family.
All you need to do is share a link via email or text message. It’s sweet and simple and only takes a couple minutes of your time.
You can find out more by clicking this link: https://fundraising.sunokafruit.com/s/nelliemcclungelementaryschool
We hope you will consider participating in this fundraiser. This is a fresh and healthy product of the highest quality, and at a very good price, that you can be proud of offering to your friends and family.
*Order deadline is October 16 2023.
Thank you for your support,
Nellie McClung P.A.C.
