Nellie in the Know Sept. 8
Hello Citizens of Nellie,
Nellie is off to a great start. Students are settling into their classes, everyone is getting to know each other and there is a sense of hope and anticipation for this school year. We are so thankful to the many volunteers who have already put their names forward and are already in classes helping students. Thank you all for participating in our school. Please get involved!

Communication Challenges – Nellie’s Network
For the past 2 days we have been experiencing a temporary internet outage. The temporary network (SuperNet) outage is the result of an unexpected technical problem experienced by a third-party provider. CBE technical teams are in contact with the third-party provider who is working diligently to resolve this issue as swiftly as possible. The outage means that teachers do not have access to their emails until they go home in the evening. If you have an urgent message for a teacher please call the school at 403-777-8620 or email dkdyck@cbe.ab.ca or wlworthy@cbe.ab.ca .

Snacks are always needed at school. If you are able to bring in granola bars, fish crackers, cheese strings or fresh fruit to help those students who do not bring snacks or lunches it would be greatly appreciated.
Allergies
Nellie is a nut aware school, which means that as a school we avoid bringing nuts into school. We have a number of students in all grades who have allergies to many different things so we need to be aware of how to be safe. Students are not supposed to share food with their classmates. If a student has a severe allergy in your class teachers will email parents to inform them of what to avoid bringing to school.
