Nellie in the Know Dec. 8 | Concerts, Giving Tree, Art Sale, Fun Lunch

Hello Citizens of Nellie,

The snow is falling, Hanukkah has begun, we just past St. Nicholas Day, Rohatsu and Feast of the Immaculate Conception are today, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Posadas Navidenas and the Winter Sostice are right around the corner and our Winter Concert Series is this week.  I love this time of year.  The elf on the shelf arrived this week at Nellie, students have been preparing for the Art Sale and Concerts and there is a special feeling of joy around the building.  We truly are all blessed to be a part of the Nellie Family.

Winter Concerts

Wednesday and Thursday are our concerts.  Come out and start off the holiday season with great music.  Students will be selling art work at the evening concerts.  This is a PAC fundraising event. Items will be sold on a first come first serve basis with a minimum price of $5.00 and a maximum price of pay what you can. Proceeds for the art sale will go to support our fine arts program at Nellie.  Every student in the school will be creating an art piece for the event.  Art work created by students not in the concerts and any remaining art work will be sold from 12:30 to 1:30 in the main foyer on Friday.

Holiday Art Sale

Please join us after the Holiday Concerts on December 13 and 14 for a Holiday Art Sale Fundraiser. All pieces are made by Nellie students and will be for sale for a minimum donation of $5.

Fun Lunch

The next fun lunch is Little Caesar’s on December 14. The last day to order your food is Saturday December 9 at www.healthyhunger.ca.
